What is the Summit Patella Plating System?
The Summit Patella Plating System is a sterile, single-use procedure kit indicated to treat patella fractures in adults. The kit is available with either a standard or small sized titanium plate. Each kit comes with pre-loaded #2 sutures for the patellar ligament. The sutures in the inferior pole are designed to allow for an optional Krackow stitch technique. Once the sutures have been placed, the surgeon can cinch them tight by simply pulling the tail of the suture toward the center of the plate.
